I woke to the smell of antiseptic layered under something sweeter, flowers, someone must have brought flowers, and for a moment I couldn’t place where I was. Then I heard murmurs near the bed and instinctively kept my eyes shut, certain it would be Reyansh, or maybe Abeer, hovering the way he always did , I didn’t want to hear their nonsense so I pretended to be sleep.
